Two week checkup

Today Madalyn had her 2 week checkup and she's doing great. She's gaining weight and is up to 6 lbs 7 oz. She's only in the 10th percentile for weight and height for her age, but being born 3 and a half weeks early will tend to do that. As long as she's steadily gaining weight, that's the most important thing.

Madalyn is an old pro at "Tummy Time" - this is when you put your baby on their stomach so they can strengthen their neck muscles, since they generally spend their time sleeping on their backs and don't use these muscles often. Here are a couple of action shots below. Maddy is still sleeping pretty well at night but last night was extra fussy between midnight and 2 AM - after trying everything we could think of, it seemed she just wanted to feed AGAIN, right after a good feeding - guess that's what they call cluster feeding:) She zonked out for a few hours after that which was good for Mom and Dad.

Grandma Myers is coming in a few days and we are excited for her to meet her granddaughter!
