I can't believe September is here already! The summer has been a whirlwind. We certainly had a busy summer and things aren't slowing down yet. Grandma and Grandpa Myers were here this past weekend and we had a great time. We were out and about - Saturday we went to Carlisle for a picnic lunch and saw the farm animals and had ice cream (Maddy tried the Apple Crisp flavor which she seemed to enjoy.) Saturday night Grammy and Grampy Mullen came over for a nice dinner and got to see Madalyn for a bit before she went to bed. She is still going to bed faithfully between 6:30 and 7, and taking two (short) naps a day, and sleeping great at night, even with FOUR teeth coming in on top! Sunday we went to little fair that Mary Queen of Peace Church put on. They had tons of food, horse rides, exhibits, relay races, etc. Madalyn got LOTS of attention and enjoyed herself. She's just starting to display some stranger anxiey, mostly when a lot of people are around and approach her - it's a lot to take in! She took it in stride though. Last weekend Tamra, EJ and Addison were here for a quick visit - it was great to see them. We went up to Newburyport for lunch and met Jena, Paul, and Marin up there. It was a beautiful day and we walked around town after lunch. This coming weekend we are headed to Baltimore to see Susan, PJ and Justin. We are looking forward to seeing them and checking out the area.

Madalyn is all about standing and walking while holding on to things (the couch, our hands, her leap frog table, etc). She crawls but prefers standing/walking. Her crawl is too funny - she sort of pushes off with one leg and drags the other - like she's injured or something. She's discovered drawers and cabinets so we will be putting safety guards on those. Every morning when we go to get her out of her crib, she is standing at the edge of it smiling. She also reached over and grabbed items off of the shelf that's next to the crib so I am going to move things around today so she can't do that anymore! I'm waiting for the day we go in and she's out of crib sitting on the floor!!
