Father's Day and Subsequent events..

We had a really nice Father's day weekend - on Saturday we went to the Northeastern alumni family day at Fenway Park, which Liberty sponsored so Greg got a bunch of tickets. It was a beautiful day out and was nice to be outside. It's a fun event with lots of things to do and see, including hanging out in the Monster seats and dancing to the band (Maddy's favorite part). On Sunday we headed to the Mullen's for the annual Father's Day BBQ and had really nice day. Maddy is perfecting her grilling skills and really wanted to get in there and help out Greg and Bill but she doesn't quite reach just yet as you can see by the pictures....

In other news, Wilson had his annual checkup last week and when I asked about his swollen toe (he had suddenly started limping for about a week in early June but had improved but then we noticed one of his toes has a big bump on it) - they were concerned and wanted to take X-rays to determine if it might be a tumor. Apparently it can be quite common and can metastasize pretty quickly which would not be good. In any case, the X-ray showed swelling and inflammation but they could not definitively say if it was or was not a tumor - they were leaning toward not, but wanted us to keep an eye on him. Unfortunately he seems to be limping slightly again, so we may need to bring him back in. Poor guy.

Maddy spiked a fever of 103 early this week and had to be picked up from daycare and stay out the next day. We ended up taking her to the doctor but it appears to have been just a virus. They did test for strep because her throat was very red, but it came back negative. The good news is she is on the mend and bounced back quickly as her fever went down the next day and she seems to be feeling good.
Here are some pictures from the Fenway Day and Father's Day...
