4th of July week
Greg and I took the week off from work which was nice. Monday and Tuesday we actually brought Madalyn to daycare (already paid for so might as well use it!) We played a couple of rounds of golf, had a nice lunch at the Beer Works brewery, and got some things done around the house. Wednesday we all headed up to York, where we stayed the rest of the week, and headed back on Sunday. Grammy and "Bubba" (that's what Maddy calls Greg's dad) came up as well, and Auntie Jenn and Uncle Shawn were there too, along with Great Grammy Skanes. We spent some time at the beach, and Madalyn has a new best friend in Uncle Shawn, who kept her entertained for hours making sand castles and digging holes (well maybe not hours, but it kept her attention longer than just about anything else we've seen... LOL) We also went to York's Wild Kingdom where Maddy went on a bunch of the rides and loved them, with the exception of the mini ferris wheel, which she wasn't thrilled about. Her favorite by far was the lady bug ride, which consists of lady bugs that you sit in and "steer" and it goes around on a circular track and has some bumps and dips. Greg and I went out to dinner one night in Ogunquit while the Mullens babysat. It was a beautiful Saturday night and the only problem is that EVERY restaurant was flat out with no seats unless you had reservations so after walking all over town, and hitting a couple of outside bars along the way, we ended up at the first place we started and found two great seats at the bar and had a really nice dinner. It was tough getting back into work mode this week but at least tomorrow is Friday.
Susan and PJ were up this way visiting from Maryland and we got to meet their new baby daughter McKenna who is 4 months old. We also saw Justin who is almost 3 now! They are such great kids - it was great to see our friends who we don't get to see often enough. Speaking of friends we don't see often enough.... Tamra - I know you are so eager to meet your baby boy Tyler after 9 long months and counting. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the big news soon - I can only imagine how uncomfortable you must be at this point!
Tonight we decided to switch it up a bit and went out to dinner with Maddy to a new Mexican restaurant that opened up near us not too long ago. It was delicous and a nice time. Madalyn was well behaved and made a nice mess of her bean burrito, rice and tomatoes. She seems to like Mexican food quite a bit, and her favorite recently is quesadillas, or as she calls them "dee-ahhs."

I'm still here and still pregnant LOL. Only until Monday!
Your 4th sounds wonderful. We miss the ocean and definitely hope to get up there to the beach a few times on our Vermont vacation (trek down to MA for a few days).
We'll be in VT starting Aug 11 I think is the plan.
SEE YOU THEN.
