September Already

I cannot believe September is already here. The summer has flown by, and while we had a great summer, we could have used less rain and more sunshine, particularly on the weekends....
Greg and I had a great anniversary long weekend up in Vermont a few weekends ago while Madalyn got spoiled by Grammy and Grampy Mullen :) We missed Maddy but had a really fun weekend and it was nice to spend some quality adult time together. We got to see Tamra & EJ & their baby boy Tyler who is adorable. I was shocked at how big and grown up Addison is - she's just 4 months older than Madalyn. It was great to see Theresa and Michelle and Brett, who came up for the night.
We also went up to VT to see Grandma ("Gee-ma") and Grandpa ("Bubba") Myers over Labor Day weekend. We had a great weekend - did some hiking at the camp in Middletown and went to the State Fair in Rutland and had a nice time just relaxing and watching Maddy enjoy playing and laughing.
Last weekend we went to a local orchard and while we didn't pick apples this time, we'll probably go back for the upcoming Harvest festival they have there in October. We enjoyed the animals and hay maze, and especially the warm apple crisp and vanilla ice cream, which was Maddy's lunch (are we bad parents??)
