Updates

Since we have been back from Mexico it has been non-stop. Maddy had her last gymnastics class and they had a small ceremony with ribbons, etc. She learned some great basic skills and we might do it again in the fall. She is growing up so fast I can't believe it sometimes. She is so self sufficient now - goes potty by herself, brushes her teeth (we run the brush over as well), gets dressed in the morning, puts her PJs on at night, and helps with everything - folding laundry, emptying the garbages, cleaning up, keeping Caitlin entertained, feeding Wilson...

She loves pretend play with her dolls, playing doctor, pretending to go grocery shopping and scanning and bagging the food, cooking meals at her kitchen. She also LOVES to play outside and loves her two wheel bike (with training wheels). We just got a new swing/playset that Greg spent many hours putting together, with help from his Dad, Tom, and me :). It is a great addition to the back yard and Maddy just loves it.

Caitlin is crawling up a storm now. She also loves to pull herself up to standing and "travels" along furniture, holding on and walking. She is into everything - we are way behind on the babyproofing. Where Maddy was content to sit and play and rarely left our site, Caitlin is gone in a flash with us left scrambling to find where she went! Her second tooth should be making an appearance any day now. She loves table food and we hardly give her the baby pureed food anymore. Carrots, cheese, toast, cheerios, bananas, and black beans are some of her favorites. She has also started using a sippy cup with water and is doing great with it. Her hair is quite light and wispy and starting to get long in the front. She loves the baby swing on the swingset and laughs and kicks her legs when we put her in it.

I love watching Maddy and Caitlin play together. Maddy is so sweet with Caitlin and truly loves her baby sister. She is very patient with her and will talk and sing to her and give her hugs and kisses. And Caitlin adores Maddy and has so much fun watching her and playing and laughing. Our house is certainly not quiet with two girls, but I wouldn't change a thing. At least Greg and Wilson balance it out a bit... :)

Hi Kids and Grandkids,

So nice to read your notes and see the picutres, but it was even nicer to be there with you for a few days. It's always sad when we leave, but makes us look forward to the next visit even more. Thanks for everything during our visit and lots of hugs and kisses to everyone.

Love, Mom and Tom
